Virgin and Natwest reveal further rate changes. – Mortgage Strategy

Virgin and Natwest have revealed further rate changes.

Major lenders Virgin and Natwest have announced rate changes effective from  6 March.

Virgin has confirmed for exclusive purchase mortgages, 80% LTV two and five-year fixed rates will be reduced by up to 0.09%, starting from 4.37%;    80% LTV Fix and Switch Fixed Rate will be reduced by 0.07%, to 4.92%;  Retrofit Boost five-year fixed rates will be reduced by 0.10%, starting from 4.87% and   Own New two and five- year fixed rates will be reduced by up to 0.10%, starting from 0.50%.

For purchase deals, changes include, two- year fixed rates reduced by up to 0.10%, starting from 4.47% and five-year fixed rates will be reduced by up to 0.10%, starting from 4.34%.

Green two and five- year fixed rates will be reduced by up to 0.14%, starting from 4.30%.

For remortgage, two- year fixed rates will be reduced by up to 0.10%, starting from 4.43% and five- year fixed rates will be reduced by up to 0.10%, starting from 4.34%.

For exclusive BTL, 60% & 75% LTV two-year fixed rates with 1% fee will be reduced by up to 0.05%, starting from 4.40%.

Also 60% and 75% LTV two- year fixed rates with 3% fee will be reduced by up to 0.10%, starting from 3.59%.

Green deals cashback has removed, now with free valuation only.

Natwest rate changes include, for its core range residential two- year fixed rate purchase 60% LTV, decreasing from 4.46% to 4.41%, product fee £0

While its two- year fixed rate purchase 90% LTV, increasing by 8bps from 5.20% to 5.28%, product fee £0

For its two- year fixed rate remortgage 60% LTV, decreasing by 2bps from 4.61% to 4.59%, product fee £0, cashback £250.

While for the 90% LTV, the rate is increasing from 5.23% to 5.28%, product fee £995, cashback £250.

For the lender’s five-year fixed rate remortgage, 90% LTV, the rate is increasing from 4.94% to 4.99%, product fee £995.

For first time buyer residential, Natwest’s two-year fixed rate purchase 90% LTV, is increasing from 4.98% to 5.03%, product fee £995, cashback £250

And its FTB five-year fixed rate purchase 90% LTV, the rate is increasing by 7bps from 4.67% to 4.74%, product fee £995, cashback £250.
