The Renters’ Rights Bill continues to progress through Parliament as Baroness Taylor of Stevenage announced that the bill be committed to a Committee of the Whole House, which will now scrutinise it.
The Renters’ Rights Bill first introduced within the first 100 days of the new Labour government, includes wide-ranging legislation including banning Section 21 no-fault evictions, limiting rent increases to once a year and applying the Decent Homes Standard to the private rented sector for the first time.
